Why Natural Gas

Peek in the kitchen of most restaurants and you will see the chefs and cooks busy working over a gas flame. The reason is simple: gas burners respond instantly, have a visible flame and can deliver precise heat at the turn of a dial.

In fact, in a survey of 100 professional chefs, 96 per cent of them said they preferred to use a gas cook top when cooking. Why? Greater control over temperature and quicker cooking times were cited, as was convenience.

Gas is also more efficient according the U.S. Department of Energy, which notes that gas stovetops and ovens use much less energy compared to their electric counterparts because the fuel is used directly for cooking.

So now that you know that you’re going to be cooking with gas, it’s only a matter of time before you’ll be out shopping for a new appliance. So what are your choices?
